The Border Patrol Agent plays a critical role in protecting our nation's borders and preventing illegal activity. As a BPA, you will be part of a dedicated team working to safeguard America by ensuring that only authorized personnel enter the country.

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend aliens and smugglers at or near borders through surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of entry for law enforcement purposes.
