Role Purpose:

The Manager, Pricing & Procurement is responsible for overseeing procurement activities across all modalities in collaboration with regional and Global teams. This role provides strategic leadership to a team of pricing analysts, ensuring seamless coordination with sales departments, coordinators, and administrative and operations teams. By optimizing procurement processes and fostering cross-functional collaboration, this position plays a critical role in driving the growth of DP World Freight Forwarding. 

This is an opportunity to lead procurement strategy within a globally recognized logistics organization that is actively expanding its end-to-end freight forwarding footprint. You'll have visibility across national and global teams, direct impact on profitability, and the opportunity to shape pricing strategy in a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement strategy across ocean, air, LCL, and drayage/cartage carriers to optimize rates, capacity, and service performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with ocean carriers, airlines, and service providers to secure competitive pricing and space commitments.
  • Conduct quarterly vendor performance reviews across all modalities and proactively respond to market and global rate changes.
  • Ensure that rate & space implementation milestones are set in ISO fashion from all suppliers.
  • Support national customer implementation projects from a procurement perspective.
  • Lead and develop a team of Pricing Analysts responsible for daily rate requests, national accounts, and regional/global RFQs.
  • Manage and report on procurement performance metrics (including 2+2 metrics for air and dray/cartage freight quoting).
  • Collaborate with global DP World offices and ocean carriers to implement 24-hour rate turnaround standards aligned with Incoterms.
  • Partner with Key Account and Commercial teams to identify growth opportunities and strengthen customer competitiveness.

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Logistics or Freight Forwarding industry with a strong focus on pricing and procurement. 
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex rate matrices across multiple transport modes.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance competitiveness and margin protection.
  • Solid organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across Sales, Operations, and Global teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries.
