As a Senior Operations Application Support Specialist, you will play a key role in enabling operational excellence by owning complex application issues, driving root cause investigations, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and operations. This role requires deep technical understanding, strong cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence system-level improvements in a regulated environment.
Please note, this opportunity is an on-site work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC. Due to the nature of our manufacturing operations, this role involves a rotating or variable schedule. Evening shifts and weekend coverage are part of the regular responsibilities. Candidates must be prepared to adjust their availability based on operational demands and support schedules. Occasional work on statutory holidays may also be required.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
Independently investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex Operations application issues.
Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to reduce recurring incidents.
Act as a senior escalation resource for challenging or high-priority application issues.
Maintain and enhance troubleshooting documentation and knowledge base content.
Communicate issue status, priorities, and resolutions clearly to Operations and technical teams.
Collaborate with Business Application Engineers, Manufacturing, and Production teams to identify application inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Support evaluation of feature requests by providing operational and technical input.
Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new tools, enhancements, and fixes.
Support training and rollout activities for new or updated applications.
Share expertise and best practices with peers; provide informal guidance to less-experienced team members.
What you bring to the team

You will be successful in this role because you bring:
5+ years of experience in field such as Helpdesk Specialist or an Operations-related role.
Hands-on experience supporting custom-built applications and ERP systems in manufacturing or regulated environments.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to handle complex issues independently.
Experience contributing to continuous improvement efforts within Operations or Manufacturing environments.
Ability to understand and document end-to-end Operations workflows and identify application-related inefficiencies.
Clear and effective communication skills, including strong technical documentation abilities.
Proven ability to collaborate across Operations, Manufacturing, IT, and Engineering teams.
Adaptability and willingness to support rotating schedules and changing operational priorities.
Technical Diploma or Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium's stock option plan.
$70,000- $95,000 (CAD Annually)
