The Opportunity:
We're looking for a quality systems supervisor to join our QC/QA team in Burlington. The potential candidate will be responsible for developing the Quality strategy, policies, processes, standards, and systems for Hunter Amenities INTL.LTD. and its supply chain to operate within. This may include suppliers auditing to ensure compliance although this may be carried out by a third-party accredited body.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of processes and procedures to aid and improve quality systems performance
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Continue to implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies
- Update quality documentation and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns
- Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits
- Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate
- Train others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures
- Undertake regular internal and process audits of the QMS
- Manage the Non-Conformances, OOS and Deviation systems
- Provide detailed analysis of nonconformities, KPI reports, Trend analysis
- Produce written reports and make presentations, manage key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Undertake continuous training and development
- Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
- Ensure KPIs are met by working to the plan, including management of, and reporting
- Supervise, coach and develop a high performing Quality System team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
- Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
- Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments
- Provide technical expertise to the team
- Assisting with ISO9001 implementation and compliance with the requirements of the international standard
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
- Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers
- Communicate with personnel at all levels, internally and externally to the Company, in relation to Quality matters
- Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
- Proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere

- BSc degree required in a science discipline
- 2-5 years' experience in cosmetic (or other FDA) related industry, preferably Quality Assurance or regulatory affairs.
- Knowledgeable with international regulatory and can prepare documentation & communicate with international agencies
- Cosmetic ingredient knowledge, INCI
- Must have project management skills, knowledge of cGMP in cosmetic products
- Proficient in MS Access and Excel document editing skills a plus
- Detail oriented
- Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Significant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
- Excellent leadership and man- management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
