This is an entry-level law enforcement position that requires the protection of our borders and safeguarding our nation.

• Key Responsibilities:

1. Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
2. Prevent undocumented non-citizens from entering our country by maintaining surveillance from covert positions, using infrared scopes during night operations
3. Interpret physical evidence of illegal entry and follow tracks, marks to locate violators
4. Maintain contact with informants in order to stay ahead of smuggling activities
