About This Job: As a Border Patrol Agent, you will play a critical role in protecting national security by preventing illegal entry into the country. You will be responsible for detecting and apprehending aliens attempting to cross the border without authorization. Our agents work closely with other law enforcement agencies to ensure that those who pose a threat to national security are brought to justice.
A Day in the Life: Your day as a Border Patrol Agent may begin early morning or late evening, depending on your assigned shift. You will be patrolling designated areas along the border using various vehicles such as cars, trucks or boats while monitoring surveillance equipment like cameras, sensors etc..
To prevent any potential threats from entering the United States illegally while promoting legitimate travel; educating travelers about federal regulations regarding passports requirements drugs possession weapon misuse alcohol limitations health issues unauthorized carrying minors improper documentation keeping truthful records labor violations/tax crime clearing/blockade evidence assisting victims transporting packages receiving gifts/homemade items customs declaring foreign goods
