This is not a marketing role. We are looking for a technical professional who understands engineering-style communication.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and format Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Edit and refine engineering reports for clarity, grammar, and structure
Support proposal development including formatting and consistency
Review technical documents to ensure professionalism and readability
Standardize templates and improve document workflows
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to gather information
Maintain version control and document organization
Required Experience
5+ years of technical writing experience
Proven experience supporting engineering, construction, infrastructure, or industrial environments
Exceptional grammar and editing skills
Strong ability to structure long-form technical documents
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (styles, formatting, table of contents, headers/footers)
Comfortable working with subject matter experts
Strong Assets
Experience writing SOPs or operational manuals
Proposal or RFP response experience
Familiarity with engineering terminology
Experience editing stamped or issued-for-construction reports
Ability to improve document structure, not just proofread
Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: Technical Writing, Technical Documentation
Optional skills: Report Writing, Proposal Writing
