Sales Management
- Establish and manage contractual relationships with end-users in the Canadian mining and industrial sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with key and senior contacts at both head office and site levels.
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with manufacturers and supplier partners.
- Actively pursue, qualify, and develop new account opportunities using solution-based selling principles.
- Participate in industry-specific organizations, associations, and conferences (e.g., CIM – national and chapter level, Canadian Coal Association, Tire Industry Association, MinExpo).
- Respond to RFIs and RFQs from existing customers, new business opportunities, and mine development or engineering firms.
- Collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager, Operations Managers, and store leadership to ensure consistent communication, accurate forecasting, and execution of customer commitments.
- Maintain awareness of competitive activity within assigned accounts and develop strategies to protect and grow market share.
- Lead by example and actively support all aspects of Kal Tire's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs across MTG operations.
- Promote a safety-first culture consistent with Kal Tire's Journey to Zero initiative.
- Participate in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives by understanding customer requirements and ensuring operational alignment.
- Contribute to environmental goals and objectives by supporting sustainable practices across customer sites and internal operations.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the Kal Tire MTG Tire Technician Training Program to effectively communicate its value to existing and prospective customers.
- Support overall MTG manpower strategies, including workforce planning, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customer expectations around service capability and technician competency are met.
- Manage Kal Tire's relationships with large mining and commercial customers to ensure profitable growth, exceptional service delivery, and competitive differentiation.
- Act as the primary relationship manager, ensuring expectations outlined in customer agreements are met and value is clearly communicated.
- Analyze and present customer-specific reports demonstrating operational efficiencies, cost savings, and performance improvements delivered by Kal Tire.
- Utilize sales program results and customer reporting tools to proactively address issues and strengthen partnerships.
- Work closely with the credit department to resolve billing inquiries and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate customer needs, service standards, and account updates to store and operational teams to ensure consistency across locations.
- Monitor client growth plans and market trends to ensure Kal Tire adapts to evolving customer needs and industry conditions.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in outside or commercial sales within a medium to large organization.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience related to major asset sales, contract management, or industrial/commercial account management.
- Experience within the tire, mining, or heavy industrial sector is considered an asset.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Extensive knowledge of commercial and OTR tires, wheels, valves, and wheel hardware, including proper application.
- Strong analytical, interpretive, and computer skills, with experience using CRM and sales reporting tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, manage multiple accounts, and achieve sales targets.
- Strong customer-centric mindset with a clear understanding of value drivers, revenue growth, and service excellence.
- Degree or diploma in sales, marketing, business, or an industry-specific certification.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
- Frequent travel is required.
- A valid driver's License is required

- The target salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 per year based on experience. In addition, this role offers a defined path for career advancement, with performance-based wage increases along the way.
