Job Description

Our long-standing client in Halifax is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a permanent hands-on opportunity for a well-rounded accounting professional who enjoys managing the full accounting cycle and mentoring a small team.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations
  • Lead month-end close and financial reporting
  • Oversee and support two direct reports
  • Mange accounts payable and receivable
  • Complete all reconciliations, including bank and general ledger
  • Contribute to year-end processes
  • Experience & Attributes for Success:
  • CPA designation is not required, but considered a strong asset
  • Proven experience in a senior or intermediate accounting role
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Confident with technology and adaptable to new systems and processes
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
