Peninsula Co-op is hiring an Assistant Manager for a permanent, full-time position averaging 40 hours per week at our Cowichan Fuel and Convenience Centre located at 281 Trans-Canada Hwy, Duncan, BC V9L 3R1. Ou r ideal candidate has open availability for a variety of shifts (opening and closing), including weekdays and weekends throughout the week

- Know their way around under the hood of a
car is also helpful, but not essential - we train for this.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Supporting
the Manager, the Assistant Manager acts in a leadership capacity to ensure the
effective operation of the department. Key areas of responsibility include
ensuring a pleasant, comfortable, and safe shopping experience for our
customers; being a leader to the team, providing support to enable them to do
their jobs and develop their skills; ensuring the department is well
merchandised, stocked, organized, spotlessly clean and adequately staffed; and
administrative tasks like ordering, pricing and inventory. In a supporting
capacity, the Assistant Manager will assist with recruitment, performance
planning and reviews, period end and inventory management. Manager training
