Greenfield is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our growing team.
 
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities at the Chatham plant by providing leadership and guidance to ensure department goals and objectives are met in the areas of Safety, Environmental, Production, Quality, Efficiency. This role develops strategies for effective implementation and continuous improvement for the department. The Maintenance Manager has full ownership, responsibility, and accountability for all activities within the Maintenance group. This includes the safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment and facilities at the Chatham facility. The Maintenance Manager leads and directs the Planner/Scheduler, Maintenance Coordinator, Purchasing and Inventory Administrator, Millwrights, and I&E Technicians to achieve department objectives consistent with plant and corporate requirements.

Your Experience Should Include:
Completion of post-secondary education in a technical field. Professional Engineering designation is an asset.
A minimum of five years of relevant work experience with prior leadership experience in a continuous process facility. Experience with alcohol production background is an asset.
Proven experience in establishing a vision, setting objectives and change management.
Experience with performance management, developing people and achieving results through others.
Competent person who is knowledgeable of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations.
CMRP certification is an asset.
Job Responsibilities:
Implement, oversee, and comply with all Company health and safety, environmental, and quality policies and regulatory requirements. (ESA, CSA, etc.)
In conjunction with the Chatham leadership team, collaborate, evaluate, and prioritize plant facility objectives, and participate in the development and implementation of business action plans as a leader.
Collaborate with other departments to plan maintenance activities, including routine maintenance activities, equipment installation, major project work, and plant shutdown activities.
Provide a technical direction to the team and utilize all resources available to resolve technical issues and challenges that affect throughput, quality, or efficiency of production, such as Root Cause Analysis, Industry Consultants, PFMEA, VSM and all other resources that are deemed necessary.
Develop future vision and gets others to buy into the direction using an appropriate pace for change.
With respect to direct reports, the Maintenance Manager is expected to:
Establish objectives, priorities, and support team activities.
Responsible for overseeing all duties and responsibilities of all direct reports.
Communicate regularly with all employees in terms of maintenance and operating requirements, and procedural changes.
Foster a team-based culture.
Regulate vacation policy and ensure that team skills are well-balanced.
Coordinate training for the group
Conduct regular safety and communication meetings.
Develop employees and provide growth opportunities and training for all reports.
Administer performance evaluations and follow up on objectives and opportunities throughout the year.
Responsible for annual budgets, monthly cost reports, and all relevant general ledger accounts.
Oversee the preventative maintenance program, performance metrics, and inventory of spare parts.
Input and extract data using the Maintenance Management System (MAXIMO) to ensure that up to date records of jobs including preventative maintenance records, required material and resources are maintained.
Responsible for sourcing, scheduling, and managing third-party contractors.
Stay current on industry standards and best practices to ensure the department and plant facility meet or exceed benchmark standards.
Take a lead role in ISO 9001 Quality Program. Ensure compliance with standards and legislation.
Take a lead role in and ensure compliance in GMP, FSMA, FEMAS, and other food and feed safety initiatives.
Other duties and responsibilities aligned to business objectives and in support of our core principles.
Total Compensation & Care:
Base salary dependent on experience and demonstrated performance ($135,000 - $160,000)
