Wood is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering to join our Canada Projects business delivering some of the world's boldest and most critical projects. This opportunity is Hybrid.
The Role
Wood is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering to join our team in New Brunswick´s office to support some of the most exciting and complex projects within the region. These projects are expected to span over multiple years and will require some travel; allowances will be provided as required. This role will be responsible for performing engineering and design duties associated with project scope of work.

ResponsibilitiesTypical responsibilities:
- Interfacing with various engineering disciplines
- To carry out duties and responsibilities as assigned by the lead electrical engineer
- Thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, the design of engineered
systems, engineering and design calculations.
- Understands the standard engineering work planning, scheduling and cost estimating.
- Perform engineering and design duties associated with project scope of work and liaise with other project discipline
- Quality control of all deliverables within the scope of electrical engineering
Act as a discipline focal point as required
Ensure that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures
Develop specifications for equipment.
- Review, check and approve work output of discipline assigned personnel as required
- Assist the Lead Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties
- Execute engineering and design activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Study & Detailed Design)
- Prepare and/or review electrical single line diagrams, wiring diagrams and schematics,
- Load list, Equipment list, Cable schedules and all other Electrical deliverables assigned by lead.
- Perform engineering for procurement activities including MRQ/MRP development, technical evaluation / recommendation and vendor drawing approvals.
- ·Perform engineering development of Construction Work Package, including project description, construction specifications, IFC drawings and material lists.
- Broad knowledge of the application of engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials.
- Conduct field assessments and provide construction support on occasion at client facilities and construction sites
- Interface with clients for project scope development, design reviews, and progress meetings

Expected:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer in New Brunswick and other Canadian province
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience required
- Local codes and standards
- Must be familiar with electrical safety and code compliance requirements.
- Experience with industrial, refinery and utility facilities would be considered an asset
- Must posses experience with Irving
