Recognized as one of Canadas fastest-growing companies for multiple consecutive years, our sister company, continues to expand its national footprint and is seeking a Business Development Manager to support and accelerate growth in Western Canada.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) – Western Canada will play a key role in expanding the clients footprint across multi-dwelling residential, rental, retirement living, and student housing markets. The role is heavily focused on building, enabling, and managing a strong network of resellers and system integrators, while supporting developers, owners, and operators with scalable access control solutions.
This position also includes future opportunities to support expansion into the Northwestern United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and grow a reseller and system integrator partner network across Western Canada
- Develop relationships with multi-dwelling property owners, rental operators, retirement homes, student housing providers, and property managers
- Work closely with developers, general contractors, and consultants on new construction and retrofit projects
- Identify and pursue new opportunities within multi-residential and institutional housing sectors
- Position the client as a long-term technology partner through standardized, scalable, and secure solutions
- Support partners with product training, project design, and go-to-market execution
- Collaborate internally to ensure competitive pricing, smooth project delivery, and strong post-sales support
- Track market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory changes impacting multi-dwelling housing
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, channel sales, or partner management
- Strong background working with resellers, system integrators, or distribution networks
- Experience selling into one or more of the following markets:
- Multi-dwelling residential and rental housing
- Student housing
- Retirement homes and senior living
- Access control or security systems
- Demonstrated success closing complex, multi-site projects and building long-term partner relationships
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to travel regularly within the territory; reliable personal transportation required
- Bilingualism considered an asset
