You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of projects – being involved in the full project life-cycle, from planning and data collection to detailed design and construction support.
We are looking for someone who enjoys building strong working relationships with a wide range of partners involved in infrastructure projects, and who is excited to be part of a multidisciplinary organization. At this stage in your career, you're eager to grow with a collaborative team and are motivated by technical excellence.
In this role your primary responsibilities would include:
Designing and drafting to prepare engineering drawings and report exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D, or ESRI.
Preparing construction quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
Applying your skills and education to perform calculations, undertake modelling, and prepare engineering designs or other deliverables required for our projects.
Potential to complete operational analysis of intersections and preparing engineering design solutions to improve safety and traffic flow using Cap-X or Synchro.
Writing memos, reports, proposals or other engineering documents.
Preparing contract documents and specifications, and administering tender processes.
Providing contract administration or on-site inspection support for transportation infrastructure during the construction season, for projects generally located in the Calgary region.
Providing project management support including preparing, monitoring and documenting: schedules, tasks, budget, tasks, internal / external project meetings and the like.
Observing safe work practices to protect the health and safety of yourself, co-workers, and others when on active construction sites.
Interacting effectively and professionally with client representatives, contractors, project stakeholders, co-workers and industry peers, and providing them with excellent service and timely responses.
