About
The successful candidate will support and lead the delivery of bridge and municipal infrastructure projects with a focus on project management, assessment, planning, design, proposal preparation, and construction support. You'll work closely with our bridge and municipal engineering teams and collaborate with other disciplines across our six office locations.Key Responsibilities
Lead or assist with conceptual, preliminary, and detailed bridge design
Prepare technical reports, design calculations, drawings, and specifications
Prepare construction cost estimates, tender documents, and contract packages
Review designs for compliance with applicable standards
Conduct site inspections for existing infrastructure and construction projects
Conduct condition assessments of existing municipal infrastructure
Develop proposal submissions and assist with business development efforts
Coordinate and delegate tasks to junior staff and review their work
Support growth initiatives in the Guelph area
Key Position Requirements
Graduate of Undergraduate Degree program
P.Eng. in the province of Ontario, registered with PEO considered an asset
5+ years of relevant bridge engineering experience, preferably in consulting
Proficient knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC), Ontario Structure Inspection Manual (OSIM), Structural Manual and applicable standards and legislation
Strong technical design experience with reinforced concrete, steel, and other bridge materials
Experience with project coordination and client communication
Strong technical and analytical skills, familiarity with Civil 3D is considered an asset
Full knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Undertake some business development with a desire to do more
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative mindset with interest in mentorship and team leadership
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
