The estimated base pay range for this position is $99,258 - $140,000. Final compensation will depend on various factors like work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Responsibilities: Comprehend customer business needs to anticipate challenges, contribute to functional requirements, and offer insights on design.
Create and implement test scripts, assess results against expected outcomes, and communicate risks and defects for timely resolution.
Oversee onsite software testing with related functional groups and mechatronics at distribution centers.
Conduct customer end-user training concerning standard software operations.
Assist Dematic's Customer Service center in identifying root causes to facilitate quick resolutions.
Ensure testing excellence is achieved for successful project execution.
Act as a subject matter expert, utilizing C programming to understand and contribute to the testing framework and automation test case development.
Analyze logs and debug C code for effective root cause analysis.
Build an automation framework using Java, TestNG, and Selenium for creating test case repositories.
Employ complex Linux command line arguments to build and deploy projects in testing and production environments.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 4 years of experience in a Quality Assurance Software Engineer role or similar position.
2 years of experience with Warehouse Control Systems, Warehouse Management, Warehouse Execution Software, and operational processes; proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming languages (C# or Java) and SOLID design principles; familiarity with Git or other version control systems; knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment; Agile methodology experience; the ability to set up production-like environments for local deployments; and skill in developing test suites with Java, Selenium, and TestNG.
Experience in testing web services such as REST and SOAP, using build tools (Ant, Maven), test management tools (Testrail), bug tracking tools (JIRA), and working with MYSQL or SQLServer.
Willingness to travel up to 30% for customer and company engagements. Position based at Dematic Corp. Headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI, with telecommuting options available throughout the U.S.
