We are currently seeking the qualifications and expertise of an Accounting Associate based out of Lower Sackville, NS.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and other accounting team staff. You must be able to prioritize, coordinate, and organize business tasks. The candidate would have a positive, professional approach in planning, scheduling, communicating, and organizing the activities of your position.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions
Assist in preparing monthly billing
Aiding with inquiries from customers/vendors
Laison with maintenance and operations regarding purchase orders
Reconcile vendor statements
Prepare and maintain monthly reporting files
Other adhoc reporting
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, And Experience
Post-secondary education in accounting/finance or appropriate work experience in similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting and controls
Intermediate skills in Excel, proficiency in Microsoft Office
Superior organization and time management skills
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage several tasks at one time in a deadline driven environment
Ability to work in a team environment or independently as required
Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills
