So what's this role all about?
As a Distribution Centre Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily Distribution Centre Plan.
A typical day will be spent completing a combination of physical and clerical tasks. You will communicate with drivers, security personnel and Distribution Leaders to coordinate the proper placement of trailers and confirm information for inbound and outbound loads. Data-entry and accurate management of corresponding paperwork are also essential functions in this role.
You'll Fit In Great If You
Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers upon their arrival and departure from the yard
Coordinate effectively with shunt drivers and gate house to ensure accurate trailer placement
Complete daily yard checks and demonstrate proficiency in yard management
Utilize our systems proficiently to coordinate and ship outbound loads
Work in accordance with the Daily Plan as outlined by Leadership
Responsible to coordinate and organize all inbound and outbound load paperwork
Monitor and order Control Office supplies as needed
A Few Other Things We're Looking For
Post-secondary education in logistics/supply chain or related field an asset
1-2+ years' working in a distribution center environment; exposure to Warehouse Management Systems and common workflows (pick/pack/ship, receiving ASN, wave planning, etc.) an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; expert knowledge of Excel applications an asset
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
