About
Strategist
This isn't a strategy job for people who like playing it safe.
CULT Collective is looking for a Strategist to join us—someone who knows that strategy isn't about frameworks for their own sake, but about changing trajectories. Of brands. Of businesses. Of people.
We're not an agency that "does strategy" as a phase in a deck. We're a brand advisory agency that blends strategy, attitudinal insight, and algorithmic intelligence to help brands create and capture demand.
We work across brand, CX, and content to give leaders a deeper understanding of what drives customer choice and loyalty — and a more effective way to scale growth in a world shaped by automation and rising consumer expectations.
That means we need strategists who can think clearly, speak honestly, and push work (and clients) somewhere better than where they started.
If that excites you, read on.
This role is for you if…
You're past the "learning what strategy is" phase — and into the "ready to lead meaningful parts of it" stage.
You're comfortable moving between research and recommendation. You can turn information into insight, and insight into action. You don't just gather inputs — you look for patterns, tensions, and opportunities.
You likely have:
- 4–6+ years of experience in strategy, marketing, brand, or related advisory roles
- Agency or consultancy experience (preferred)
- Real exposure to brand, communications, or CX strategy — not just execution support
- The ability to present thinking clearly and confidently to clients
You ask good questions.
You're not afraid of complexity.
And you're motivated to build a point of view — not just borrow one.
You don't need to be the "big brain in the room" yet — but you're on your way there.
What you'll actually do here
As a Strategist at CULT, you'll play a critical role in shaping and delivering strategic work that drives measurable business outcomes.
You will:
Contribute to and Lead Strategic Workstreams
- Support and lead components of brand, positioning, communications, and experience strategy engagements
- Translate client goals, market dynamics, and research inputs into structured thinking and actionable recommendations
- Develop clear strategic narratives that align business objectives with customer behavior
Research, Insight & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth consumer, category, and competitive analysis
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to uncover meaningful patterns and implications
- Synthesize findings into insight — not just summary
CEQ & EEQ Application
- Build fluency in CULT's CEQ and EEQ methodologies
- Apply emotional and experiential insight frameworks to strategic recommendations
- Connect customer behavior to measurable business impact
Campaign & Experience Development
- Translate insights and strategic direction into clear creative briefs
- Partner with creative and production teams to ensure strategy is reflected in execution
- Help guide work through all phases of development, ensuring alignment with objectives
Client Engagement
- Build strong, trusted relationships with day-to-day client contacts
- Present strategic thinking with clarity and confidence
- Contribute to new business proposals and strategic presentations
Measurement & Optimization
- Help define success metrics aligned to strategic goals
- Support reporting and performance analysis
- Use data to refine and strengthen future recommendations
What we're looking for (and what we're not)
You are:
- Analytically strong and commercially aware
- Organized and capable of managing multiple workstreams
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity — even if you're still building confidence in it
- Eager to grow into more leadership responsibility
You are not:
- Someone who hides behind data without forming an opinion
- A "slide maker" who waits for direction
- Afraid to speak up when something doesn't feel strategically sound
Think proactive team player — not lone wolf.
About CULT Collective
CULT exists to help businesses become brands people genuinely care about.
We enable courageous leaders to create category-leading brands by applying eight Cult Brand Principles designed to increase emotional relevance with customers and employees alike. Our work spans diagnosis, strategy, and implementation—always grounded in how people actually choose, feel, and behave.
Our outputs vary wildly because our clients' challenges do. That's the point.
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions, borrowed thinking, or strategy theatre. We believe in sharp minds, honest conversations, and work that earns its place in the world.
If that sounds like your kind of place, we'd like to hear from you.
