Salary & Benefits
Competitive Salary: $55,000-$65,000

The position is based out of 90 Industry Street, Toronto. elle cuisine seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and detail-oriented junior event planner/catering coordinator to join our growing team. Since 2010, we have established ourselves as one of Toronto's premier full-service catering and event planning companies, recognized by BlogTO, Toronto Life and many more.

The Role
The position is based out of 90 Industry Street, Toronto. Reporting to the Director of Events, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between planning and execution. This is a multifaceted position that requires a mix of administrative precision, logistical coordination, and "boots on the ground" event support.

Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning & Client Services
Creative Support: Create proposals, custom event signage, and client decks.
Client Management: Lead client communications, holding a shared portfolio in partnership with a Senior Planner.
Onsite Coordination & Event Execution: Set up and execute on-site tastings and experiences for prospective clients. On site event execution 4-6 events a month.
Digital Presence: Support the social media strategy with a focus on capturing content for TikTok and Instagram.
Business Development: Provide direct administrative support to the Business Development Manager as required.
CLIENT MANAGEMENT (client satisfaction, creating the optimal event experience (best fit, budget management, onsite client management))
Work closely with, and actively invest in the relationships of our clients, venues, suppliers and partners.
Serve as the main contact for each assigned client, available continually for questions, concerns, planning and coordination needs throughout the planning process
Maintain calendar and client folders proactively for all booked events
Maintain a client roster of 20% of booked clients
Maintain presence at events (4-6 per month) providing social media content for elle cuisine social media outlets
EVENT PLANNING, EXECUTION, LOGISTICS (rentals, packing lists, decor, expediting, admin, organizational skills, staff management, onsite event work)
Ensure smooth and sustainable event execution strategies in accordance with each client's budget.
Responsible for full event execution including but not limited to
Menu planning
Rental coordination and logistics
Packing lists
Logistics and event execution plans
Placement of staff at events
DΓ©cor and event production and event detail sheets.
Manage day to day logistics and day of logistics for all types of events including
Packing lists
printed materials such as signage and custom menus
Rentals
Scheduling & identifying staffing needs
Site visits
Onsite presence at events
Capture content at managed events for elle cuisine social media outlets
Maintenance of existing and new client portfolios/folders
Routine meetings with event planners and chefs to discuss clients, the event, logistics and execution.
Maintain presence at events (4-6 per month) providing social media content for elle cuisine social media outlets .
Build and maintain a strong relationship with the director of events and the chef team working towards achieving agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
On-Site Execution & Front-of-House
Leadership: Lead packing teams during high-volume seasons to ensure 100% accuracy.
On-Site Support: Act as an Event Manager, Bartender, or Waitstaff at staffed events as needed.
Staff Training: Assist in training new FOH team members to ensure they meet the elle cuisine gold standard of service.
Qualifications & Attributes
You are a team player who thrives in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable handling phone inquiries and client follow-ups.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Proficiency (or ability to quickly learn) Canva, E-commerce platforms, and social media management.
