PEACE WAPITI ACADEMY is seeking candidates who enjoy working in a student-focused and collaborative environment. We invite applications for a Temporary Full-Time Library Assistant (32.5 hrs/week).
The Library Assistant will be actively involved in creating an environment that is dynamic and collaborative for inquiry, with unlimited accessibility, where all learners are welcomed, engaged and supported in their personalized learning pursuits both in the library and within classrooms.
Experience
Experience working in an educational setting is preferred
Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform the position may be considered
Experience and/or training with library procedures, cataloguing and filing systems
Experience in an automated environment and in the library field is preferred

Duties And Responsibilities
Library
working with students through varying formats and roles,
act as a resource to teachers and students in obtaining information and materials,
circulation, maintaining and updating the resources necessary for a school library, and
providing research and resource support to students and staff at the school.
Other
Provide support for various school needs as identified and assigned by School Administration
Be familiar with and adhere to District Administrative Procedures that relate to the position

Terms and conditions of employment are outlined in . Wage is commensurate with education and experience. The wage range for this position is $20.66/hour to $27.20/hour.
