We have a fairly large WordPress website that is heavily SEO-driven and depends on organic traffic for daily business. Our priority right now is to make the site significantly faster and more stable from a performance perspective, with a clear measurable target: passing Google Core Web Vitals.
We are looking for an experienced WordPress speed and performance specialist who can work alongside our in-house web development team to diagnose the root causes of slow performance and implement improvements that actually hold up in production. This is not a one-off "install a caching plugin and leave" task. We need someone who can go deeper where needed (theme, plugins, scripts, assets, server/caching strategy, database, and front-end performance issues) and deliver a clean, reliable optimization plan with implementation.
Just as important, we want this person to teach our lead web developer how to maintain the speed over time. That means sharing best practices, showing how to monitor and troubleshoot performance, and explaining what to avoid so we do not regress after future content updates or feature changes. If you can communicate clearly and collaborate with a dev team, that matters a lot.
BUDGET: USD 1,000
USD 500 Milestone 1: Release upon achieving significant speed improvements and strong PageSpeed Insights scores on agreed key pages.
USD 500 Milestone 2: Release upon passing Google Core Web Vitals according to Google's reporting (Search Console) on both mobile and desktop.
Contract duration of 3 to 6 months.
