4 days in office - Toronto office - 12-month contract

Great opportunity to act as a business intelligence and analytics expert, providing strategic insight and management reporting to stakeholders throughout the firm. 

The role will be heavily involved in data clean-up and consolidation as a precursor to developing alternative fee arrangements, pricing strategies, reporting packs and ad-hoc financial reporting. 

You will be focusing on: 

  • Support members of the Finance Planning and Analysis and Accounting teams nationally in the collection, consolidation and mining of data, preparation of reports, presentations and analyses.

  • Research, extract and manipulate financial data from all relevant sources to build financial models, assess impact on key metrics and perform sensitivity analyses.

  • Assist Accounting with SAP data and business insights to successfully complete month-end close processes, year-end audit protocols.

  • Work closely with internal support staff to provide them with analyses, reports and financial information necessary and useful for decision making with the support of Financial Planning and Analysis Managers. Stay abreast of their needs and communicate requirements to team members.

  • Assist in the definition, identification, management and implementation of tools and report development projects to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally in successful migration of SAP.

  • Ensure accuracy of information through understanding a variety of data sources.

  • Prepare recommendations based on data summaries and trend analyses.

  • Prepare reports submitted to the various committees of the firm, including reports provided to members of the firm's Executive Committee.

  • Contribute to developing strategies to improve financial analyses, financial reports and management tools while recommending changes to the reporting system and reducing manual processes to a minimum.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's Degree or diploma in a quantitative discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Analytics, Data Science) 

  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar position

  • Ability to work under pressure with a high degree of autonomy

  • Excellent client service orientation

  • In-depth knowledge of Excel, SAP and/or Business Objects

  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Tableau or Power BI would be an asset

  • An understanding of the Accounting principles, analytics or data science would be an asset

The salary bands provided reflect the typical range for this role in the region indicated. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of experiences and skills, and final compensation will be thoughtfully determined based on individual qualifications and current market factors. Please note that salary will be discussed and negotiated during interview

Toronto: $81,500 - $100,700
