Position Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor and located 100% on site at 1625 Industrial Blvd Magog Quebec, this position will require to perform various duties of electrical and non-electrical sub-assembly, and preparing parts and components of patient lifts, for final assembly.
This is a 100% on-site position
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for following instructions on a Material Data Sheet, under the direction of the Production Supervisor.
- Install electronical controls and switches in Patient Lifts.
- Read blueprints and install parts at the right positions.
- Install and connect all associated control wiring.
- Checking the parts, troubleshoot and perform any rewiring if needed.
- Install mechanical or electronical components.
- Performs all final testing and troubleshooting.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners to assemble components for final assembly.
- Operates hand drill or riveting machines to assist in assembly production.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One to three months of related experience and/or training in electronics or electrical assembly
- Valid forklift license (required)
Experience
- Experience in electrical and/or mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures (English)
- Experience performing testing, troubleshooting, and rework of assembled components
Key Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers
- Energetic, eager, and reliable with a strong work ethic
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods, reaching, walking throughout the facility, and lifting components (with assistance when required)

- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or feel materials.
- The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is required to walk throughout facility.
- Employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally and lift and/or move up to pounds with assistance of another person. Assistance is available for weights above persons lifting capabilities.
