Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Impact and Engagement, The Foundation Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Foundation's community impact and gender equity programs, as well as providing assistance to the broader OSEG Foundation team. This role contributes to the development and implementation of youth sport initiatives serving marginalized communities in Ottawa.
This part-time, fixed term role has an hourly rate of $19.95. This is a temporary position and requires a fully on-site work arrangement. This position's term is April 6, 2026 to June 12, hours per week / 10 weeks).
What you'll do:
- Support the implementation of the OSEG Foundation's community impact programs.
- Recruit, schedule, train, and supervise a diverse team of community impact program volunteers.
- Support the delivery of community programs through regular site visits, providing hands-on support and ensuring program quality.
- Lead and facilitate program events and activations to support successful execution.
- Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and feedback to volunteers and program staff to strengthen engagement and outcomes.
- Support relationship management with schools, community sites, and partner organizations.
- Assist with participant behaviour support, working collaboratively with volunteers, staff, and site partners to maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive program environment.
- Coordinate program logistics, including organizing materials and equipment for programs and events.
- Support the maintenance and growth of OSEG Foundation web and social media content to increase awareness of community programs and events.
What's needed:
- Completion of Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience supervising part-time employees and/or volunteers.
- Experience working with youth in a sport or recreation environment.
- Experience providing administrative support to a team.
- Valid drivers license and access to vehicle.
- Ability to thrive and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and achieve quality results.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Bilingualism is an asset.
- Mandatory to work weekday afternoons, evenings and weekends.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position including standing/walking/climbing stairs and moving equipment for extended periods of time.
- Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
