Protecting Our Borders: A Critical Role in Law Enforcement
As a Border Patrol Agent, you will play a vital part in safeguarding our nation's borders, working closely with other law enforcement agencies to prevent and deter illegal activity.
- Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws
- Conducting thorough inspections of documents, possessions, and vehicles to determine citizenship or violations
Responsibilities:
- Patrolling the border by foot, horseback, vehicle ATV snowmobile motorcycle inspecting documents possessions determining citizenship or violations analyzing information rapidly making prompt decisions
h3 government assets including vehicles. As a highly trained agent,you will receive formal training at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia New Mexico covering topics such as:
h1 course on law enforcement USBP-specific operations driver training physical techniques firearms Spanish language proficiency.
