Are you a proactive Project Engineer looking to drive impactful change within a fast-paced manufacturing environment?

We're looking for an organised, technically strong, and solutions-focused professional to join our client's Maintenance Department and lead a wide range of asset, infrastructure, and systems projects that support the long-term growth and efficiency of our business.

About the Role

As their Project Engineer , you will take ownership of end-to-end project delivery-from initial scoping through to planning, execution, and handover. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

This role plays a key part in supporting improvements across production assets, facilities, software/hardware systems, and wider site infrastructure. You will act as a central link between stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring strong governance and best practice across all projects.

The ideal candidate would come from a maintenance engineering hands on background.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Planning

  • Manage projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring effective scoping, planning, scheduling, execution, and commissioning.
  • Produce clear project documentation including URS, Gantt charts, and milestone plans.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Develop, monitor, and control project budgets to ensure financial efficiency and value for money.

Manufacturing Asset & Systems Projects

  • Lead acquisition, installation, and commissioning of new manufacturing assets with minimal operational disruption.
  • Oversee deployment of new software and hardware systems, ensuring compatibility with operational needs.

Infrastructure & Site Improvements

  • Deliver upgrades to facilities, utilities, and site infrastructure to enhance capability, safety, and operational performance.

Governance & Best Practice

  • Champion strong project governance and embed continuous improvement across the department.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to maintain smooth communication and timely project delivery.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure robust adherence to safety standards, including Permit to Work (PTW), RAMS, Method Statements, and manufacturing safety requirements.
  • Support the company's Health, Safety & Environmental policies at all times.

Additional duties may be required in line with departmental needs.
