Job Summary:
The selected candidate will be responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws at U.S. borders while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel. This position involves working with various stakeholders, including travelers, importers/exporters, law enforcement agencies, and other government entities.
About this Job Opportunity:
The key responsibilities of this role include:
presetting up inspection lanes or barriers;
instructing drivers on what information needs
to be provided; inspecting vehicles'
general conditions; checking cargo shipment documentation;if necessary referring cases involving controlled substances;
carrier agricultural compliance audits;
sampling agricultural commodities from high-risk shipments;n documenting results or evidence found during inspections ; filing any required paperwork.
