Job Description:
- As a seasoned law enforcement professional, you will be responsible for safeguarding the nation's borders, detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions, and determining citizenship or violations.
- Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations
The ideal candidate will possess one year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge in stressful situations. A bachelor's degree may also qualify applicants. Relevant military police experience is advantageous.
The job requires proficiency in Spanish as well as English.
The selected candidate must undergo six months of intensive training at Artesia New Mexico before assignment duties start.
