We are looking for a Network Engineer for a project delivering on‑premises testing facilities across three RWS locations: Madrid, Mumbai, and Bangkok. The engineer will work with the project team to implement network changes based on client requirements, ensuring dedicated connectivity for the test environment that is logically separated from the existing RWS network. The role also involves interpreting physical requirements such as CCTV coverage, additional wired/wireless connectivity and structured cabling. The engineer must understand the security implications of these changes and plan accordingly. Technically, the work follows existing templates and standards, so CCNA‑level capability is suitable, but practical experience is essential to correctly interpret and implement the requirements. Job Overview
Essential: VLAN, Cisco Catalyst, Spanning Tree, VRF, Routing, Meraki. Preferred: Check Point. Key Responsibilities Working as a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and documenting our network infrastructure. The role will be assigned to a project team responsible for the delivery of network infrastructure and services meeting strict client focussed design, security, and resilience criteria: Network design and implementation:
Work closely with other members of the project team to implement and deploy network infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Work closely with other IT professionals as part of dedicated project team to understand and interpret business requirements. Collaborate with project managers to meet project milestones and deadlines while ensuring the seamless integration of network systems. Network architecture:
Work with the project team to understand and translate client requirements to an appropriate network design, whilst keeping in line with current RWS standards. Documentation:
Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role. Available immediately for the 3 month contract period (day rate basis) Experience working within a global enterprise organisation. Experience with network security, including LAN, WLAN, SDWAN, VPNs, and Security. Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent are a plus. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyse and resolve complex network issues. Ability to understand and capture business requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven self-starter working well with minimal supervision. Proven experience configuring and Cisco Catalyst switches. Experience with firewall configuration, and logical separation of security levels. Life at RWS
