Job Description
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be physically fit, and have the ability to learn and apply complex laws and regulations.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.
- Conduct inspections of individuals, conveyances, and cargo to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Determine admissibility for entry into the United States based on relevant factors.
- Prevent illegal entry of prohibited goods, drugs, or contraband.
Required Skills And Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum three (3) years general work experience demonstrating interpersonal skills is required. For GS-7 grade level,
specialized full-time work equivalent to next lower grade that includes inspecting people/documents/cargo for criminal activity,fraud,&/or operations.
