Protective Border Enforcer

Border Patrol Agents work with a dedicated team to protect America by safeguarding its borders, deterring illicit activities, and promoting economic prosperity. As part of our 60,000+ workforce, you will be responsible for detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws.

The job involves preventing the entry of aliens and smugglers into the country by maintaining surveillance from covert positions. You will also interpret tracks and other physical evidence left behind by illegal entrants. Additionally, your duties may include performing farm checks, building checks, traffic stops, city patrols, and transportation inspections.

To qualify for this position as a Border Patrol Agent (GL-9), you must have at least one year's worth of specialized experience that includes:

Performing physical searches

Apprehending violators
