About the Job
This position requires you to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel required. As a Border Patrol Agent, your primary responsibility will be to safeguard our nation's borders from illicit activity while maintaining order through effective communication and crowd control techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrolling designated areas along the international border or coastal waterways using various government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft off-road vehicles ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles for accomplishment of USBP mission
- Detecting questioning people suspected violating immigration custom laws inspecting documents possessions determine citizenship violations preventing apprehending undocumented noncitizens smugglers near borders by maintaining surveillance covert positions including infrared scopes night operations interpreting following tracks marks physical evidence illegal entry persons contraband performing farm checks building checks traffic checks city patrols transportation checks;
