About
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Protect American citizens by safeguarding the nation's borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing economic prosperity.
- Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws; inspect documents and possessions to verify citizenship or identify violations.
- Prevent unauthorized noncitizen entry; apprehend smugglers of noncitizens at or near borders using covert positions with infrared scopes during nighttime operations.
- Interpret physical evidence of illegal entry; perform farm checks, building checks, traffic stops, city patrols, and transportation checks.
