Customs Protection Officer

• Enforce customs laws and regulations to ensure compliance with international trade requirements.


• Detect and prevent smuggling of prohibited goods, including narcotics and other contraband items.


• Interview individuals to assess admissibility for entry into the United States.


• Cross cultural interactions are common in this position as officers interact with various populations from diverse backgrounds while serving at ports of entry along U.S. land borders, coasts (including Great Lakes) and inland waterways.Officer may be required to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends ,and holidays.
