Salary & Duty Location Recruitment Incentives
- Newly appointed Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPOs) may be offered up to $15, 0000 incentive per year in select locations.
This position offers career advancement opportunities through promotions based on performance within the agency. CBPOs can move into higher grade levels (GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, 11, and GS-12) without re-applying once they complete 52 weeks at each level. The duty location is determined by operational requirements and hiring needs.
