• Enforce laws and regulations - Ensure compliance with federal guidelines regarding customs, immigration, and agricultural imports/exports;


• Inspect individuals/conveyances - Conduct thorough examinations to detect illicit activities or prohibited goods;


• Determine admissibility - Assess whether individuals meet requirements for entry into the United States;


• Pursue smugglers/drug traffickers - Prevent illegal entry of contraband or unauthorized substances.
