WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Financial Analyst - FP&A, OPEX to join our Financial Planning and Analytics team on a full-time and permanent basis. This position is based out of our Head Office located in Liberty Village and offers a hybrid work schedule.
PAY RANGE
The anticipated base salary for this position is $70,000 to $85,000.
Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
Prepare and deliver monthly operating expense (Opex) reports to support departmental reviews, highlighting risks, opportunities, and variances to plan
Partner with business stakeholders to provide financial guidance across Opex planning, forecasting, and analytical activities
Support the implementation and ongoing execution of the regional rolling forecast process across all business segments
Validate forecasts and resolve data or assumption-related issues in close collaboration with the Business Partnerships team
Assist in Opex planning by tracking performance against plan and identifying risks and opportunities (R&Os)
Analyze business performance by identifying trends and evaluating key metrics and KPIs to generate actionable insights for business partners
Manage Travel & Entertainment (T&E) expenses, including monitoring spend, ensuring policy compliance, and supporting variance analysis and cost control initiatives
Enhance financial reporting processes through continuous improvement and automation of existing reports where applicable
Prepare ad hoc financial analyses to support departmental objectives and strategic initiatives
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
Minimum 3+ years of Finance experience; CPG and/or Retail experience preferred
Relevant education or equivalent experience in financial reporting, analysis, and planning
CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA designation (completed or in progress) is an asset
Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFs)
Experience with process improvements and/or ERP system implementations
