Overview
The Interface Coordinator Assistant will support the Transit Integrators British Columbia (TIBC) team on a major SkyTrain project in Metro Vancouver. This role assists with managing interfaces across multiple systems, contractors, disciplines, and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of a complex, multi‑package rapid transit project. Working under the guidance of the Interface Coordinator, the Interface Coordinator Assistant helps ensure effective integration between civil works, guideway, systems, operations, and external stakeholders across design, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
Your role
Support the identification, documentation, and management of technical, contractual, and organizational interfaces across civil, guideway, stations, systems, and third‑party stakeholders.
Maintain and update the Interface Register, ensuring interface actions and issues are accurately tracked and reported.
Assist with coordination and preparation for interface meetings, workshops, and working groups, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking.
Support integration activities between civil construction and rail systems, including signaling, communications, power, and operations requirements.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, project controls, and commercial teams to help assess interface impacts to scope, schedule, risk, and cost.
Support reviews of interface‑related deliverables to ensure alignment with technical requirements and project milestones.
Prepare interface status updates and reports for review by the Interface Coordinator and project leadership.
Assist in identifying interface risks and supporting mitigation and resolution actions.
About You
Post‑secondary education in engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent project experience.
Early‑career experience or co‑op/internship exposure to infrastructure, construction, or transit projects is an asset.
Basic understanding of project delivery processes, including design and construction phases.
Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with registers, tracking tools, or document management systems is an asset.
Willingness to learn and develop interface management and systems integration skills in a large project environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Expected compensation for this role is between $64,700 - $89,000 annually. (Only Applicable to British Columbia). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
