What is the opportunity?

As an Associate in the Transformation Office, you will be a valued member of RBC Investor Services group. Working in a strategic function, you will be part of a team that is responsible for supporting executives and business leaders in meeting IS's objectives. You will support the Director, Projects & Strategic Initiatives in providing reporting and oversight around strategic projects portfolio, to enable decision-making relating to spend and intake prioritization. You will partner with a variety of internal stakeholders to provide comprehensive reporting on the project portfolio – where we spend, why and associated benefit and risk profiles.

What will you do?

  • Work with the core projects team, key business partners and finance to support reporting, analysis, forecasting, planning and prioritization of project spend
  • Prepare accurate and thorough analyses of financials, the status of projects and alignment with strategy
  • Prepare internal analyses to enable decision-making related to businesses and markets that IS operates in
  • Provide a variety of routine, and ad-hoc, management reporting to the Board, Senior Leadership and others on the project portfolio and performance
  • Collaborate with project governance team and business teams to assess the strategic rationale and financial economics of projects to provide an independent, objective perspective on projects before they are approved
  • Help with a variety of systems and process improvement initiatives
  • Help promote a culture of integrity by promoting open, honest and transparent dealing in the day-to-day management and execution of projects, working with the Director, Projects to act as an escalation point, as appropriate

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Undergraduate degree in business or commerce
  • 3+ years' experience in investment banking, business strategy, advisory, corporate accounting, FP&A or similar roles
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience preparing materials and presentations for executive audiences
  • Experience synthesizing data from multiple sources into clear, articulate analyses and / or presentations
  • Ability to effectively manage competing timelines and priorities for multiple teams and across global time zones

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$67, $110,000.00
