The primary responsibility of a Border Patrol Agent is to detect, question, and apprehend individuals suspected of violating immigration laws.
The following key responsibilities include detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws,
detecting smuggling operations along land borders,
deterrence and interdiction efforts in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) layered defense strategy.
Ideally also interested in conducting surveillance activities at or near multiple points along U.S. international land borders
and coastal regions between official ports of entry.
Pursuing violations resulting from public safety threats as well as seizing vehicles used for human trafficking;
also arresting undocumented noncitizens for immigration violation s,
