The
Data and Analytics Architect Lead
is a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of our large-scale data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. This onsite position is located in Springfield, MO, and provides an incredible opportunity to significantly influence our data strategy and architecture. In this role, you will set the strategic direction for our data platforms, tools, and services, ensuring alignment with business goals while working autonomously to drive innovation in data practices. You will mentor and lead cross-functional teams in data and analytics engineering, ensuring our data assets are governed, scalable, secure, and innovative. Key Responsibilities:
Define and evolve data engineering blueprints, including data mesh and hybrid cloud architectures. Direct the development of advanced data platforms, focusing on scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. Establish best practices for data pipeline development, integration, and automation. Conduct technology evaluations and advocate for the adoption of innovative data technologies. Design frameworks for metadata management and data governance, ensuring compliance and clarity for all data assets. Collaborate with various teams to operationalize effective policy-as-code frameworks for data management. Lead initiatives to integrate data quality frameworks into our data orchestration processes. Serve as a technical advisor to senior executives, providing insights on data modernization and AI readiness. Architect solutions that transform complex business challenges into scalable data products aligned with organizational goals. Promote a culture of data stewardship and transparency within the organization. Help shape the organization's data strategy, articulating the vision and leading impactful discussions. Mentorship of team members to enhance their technical skills and influence hiring and team dynamics. Represent our organization at industry conferences and forums, positioning us as a thought leader. Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience in architecting enterprise-scale data platforms, particularly in hybrid and cloud environments. Expertise in designing high-performance batch and streaming data pipelines with a focus on cost optimization. Advanced skills in semantic modeling and cross-functional data product delivery. Proficient understanding of CI/CD enabled pipelines and data governance best practices. Strong programming skills in Python and Scala to develop sophisticated data solutions. Solid background in creating scalable data workflows using orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect. Ability to translate business objectives into actionable data strategies. Familiarity with key business processes and metrics across various functional areas. Proven capability to drive cross-functional data initiatives and stakeholder engagement. Experience in leading platform modernization efforts across business units. Preferred Qualifications:
Track record of developing multi-cloud, interoperable data platforms with solid governance frameworks. Experience with integrating testing frameworks into CI/CD workflows. Excellent communication skills to convey complex data architectures to diverse stakeholders.
