Are you a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator looking for a new challenge? Our Grand Rapids, Michigan facility is seeking a dedicated professional to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This position is crucial to maintaining the efficiency of our warehouse operations and ensuring timely order fulfillment. - Safely operating various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks).
- Loading and unloading trailers and containers.
- Moving products from receiving to storage and from storage to shipping areas.
- Performing daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
- Maintaining an organized and clean work area.
- Assisting with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Adhering strictly to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Working collaboratively with other warehouse staff to achieve operational goals.
We provide all required PPE and extensive training. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and sustained periods of standing and walking. Previous experience as a certified forklift operator is strongly preferred. A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to hazard identification are essential for success in this position. Understanding the principles of logistics and warehouse management will be beneficial.
