About
Our Cincinnati, Ohio location is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our dedicated warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. This role is critical to our inventory management, receiving, and shipping processes, contributing significantly to our overall logistics efficiency. You will operate various types of forklifts and related equipment to ensure timely handling of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, etc.) to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and stability.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas, such as storage, production, and shipping docks.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using RF scanners or other WMS technology.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking activities as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including site-specific rules and proper use of PPE.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques when necessary for non-forklift tasks.
- Contribute to a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all logistics and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to following all PPE guidelines for safety.
