The Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) plays a vital role in safeguarding the United States' borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing economic prosperity. As a CBPO, you will be part of an elite team that enforces customs, immigration, and agriculture laws while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.
- Enforce laws related to customs, immigration, and agriculture.
- Facilitate the flow of legitimate trade and travel by inspecting individuals and conveyances.
Critical Responsibilities Include:
Inspecting cargo/bags/merchandise for contraband or prohibited items.
Determining admissibility of individuals entering the United States.
Promoting compliance with federal regulations through education outreach programs.
