YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent, the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of mechanical trades in a safety focused Kraft Pulp Mill. The role will be of interest to effective leaders who are dynamic, resourceful, self-starters and demonstrate a commitment to safety.
Your Responsibilities
Lead, supervise and develop maintenance employees;
Track and measure performance utilizing appropriate methods/tools;
Contribute to short and long term planning strategies;
Make a difference and share in the Mill's overall success.
Your Skills And Abilities
Safety focused;
Self-directed and works with minimal supervision;
Ability to work with all groups to define schedules and prioritize work
Confident communicator at all levels of organization including listening, writing and presenting;
Change agent with the ability to collaborate well with others;
Strong problem solving & analytical skills, excellent judgment and confidentiality;
Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands;
Detail oriented;
Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to coach varying levels of the operation;
Work well in team and possess a friendly and positive demeanor and professional image.
Your Qualifications
Possess an Interprovincial Red Seal Certification in Millwrighting, Pipefitting, Heavy Duty Mechanics or Welding;
Experience supervising trades in a safety focused, industrial work environment;
Proficient with computers including experience in working with a computerized maintenance management system (SAP);
Previous experience planning and scheduling within a multi trade work environment is considered an asset;
A dual ticket is considered an asset.
