Our New Quality Engineer:
The ideal candidate would be someone who….
- Is responsible for the generation of strategic plans to improve and enhance quality, efficiency and productivity.
- Will be creating and implementing a strategy for quality coordination
- Suggests solutions to identified and potential quality problems.
What you will do in the role:
- Analyze data and provide solutions/recommendations for product and process improvements.
- Recognize and understand customer specific requirements for internal and external customers.
- Plan, create and manage overall Quality Planning strategy.
- Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement.
- Documents, monitors, and resolves non-conformances, and performs root cause analysis of quality problems.
- Review and approve PPAP submissions, and maintain documentation in an organized manner.
- Assist suppliers in developing and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
- Manage, coordinate and schedule internal audits (ISO9001) and assist with customer audits.
- Performs internal audits to ensure compliance.
- Assists Management Rep with 3rd party audits with the Registrar.
- Maintains and controls ISO 9001 documentation including developing and updating of procedures, policies and templates to ensure document control and compliance.
- Assists production with training as required.
- Work with the Continuous Improvement team and other key stakeholders on Continuous Improvement activities
- Identify key KPIs for product and process quality.
- Prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior Management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.
What you bring to the role:
- A Degree in Engineering and/or equivalent relevant experience
- At least 2-5 years' experience in quality assurance function, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Experience in quality assurance and quality systems (ISO9001)
- Experience with policy and process development, control documentation required
- Experience with internal and external audits
- Strong computer skills and Microsoft Suite proficiency
- Planning and organization skills
- Time management and ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication with demonstrated follow-up
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Clear Background Checks – Criminal (required)
This position is located at 6635 Ordan Drive in Mississauga, ON. Hours are typically 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Pay: $83,500.00
This is a Full-time, Salary position.
