Position Title: Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

Department: Financial Planning & Analysis

Location: Store Support Centre

Reports to: Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

This is a high-impact FP&A role where you will work closely with key business areas, including Supply Chain and Buying teams, influencing strategic decisions and driving financial performance. Reporting to the Director, FP&A, you will have the autonomy to own your projects and contribute to initiatives that shape the business. We are looking for an experienced FP&A professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is eager to make meaningful contributions. This role offers the chance to expand your skills, take on responsibility, and work alongside experienced leaders in a collaborative, supportive culture.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Partner with the Supply Chain team to build, monitor, and analyze Distribution Centre performance against budget and forecast, including KPIs and variance analysis; provide actionable insights and support strategic initiatives

  • Collaborate with Buyers and Planners to own operating expense and other gross margin analysis, performing detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast to identify drivers, risks and opportunities

  • Support the preparation of weekly business performance commentary, summarizing key events and performance highlights

  • Own month-end activities for assigned areas, collaborating with Accounting to ensure completeness, accuracy and timely financial close

  • Support the annual budget and multi-year planning cycles, providing analysis, reporting and recommendations to support informed decision making

  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly/quarterly management and Board reporting and presentation materials

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain financial models, reporting, and processes; actively identify opportunities to streamline and improve efficiency

  • Partner with key stakeholders cross-functionally, to solve problems, ensure successful financial performance, challenge the status quo

  • Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and projects, as required

The ideal candidate:

  • Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA designation (or actively pursuing) is strongly preferred

  • 3-5+ years of progressive Financial Planning & Analysis experience; retail, consumer, or supply chain exposure is an asset

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights

  • Demonstrated experience influencing decisions and collaborating effectively with non-finance stakeholders

  • Comfortable operating independently and within a team, with curiosity to challenge the status quo and improve processes

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with SAP and BI tools such as IBM Cognos, MicroStrategy, or Power BI is an asset
