Operational Excellence Associate / Warehouse Associate
The purpose of the Operational Excellence Associate is to play a pivotal role in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the distribution center operations. This position is focused on ensuring that all processes and workflows are executed with the utmost precision and adherence to established standards. The associate will actively contribute to identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the distribution center. With a strong emphasis on maintaining high-quality standards and maximizing productivity, the Operational Excellence Associate will significantly impact the company's ability to deliver outstanding service to customers and drive the overall success of the Atlas Experience.
Job Overview
● Receive incoming shipments of goods.
● Verify the accuracy of received items, check for damages, and document any discrepancies.
● Perform regular stock counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
● Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders in accordance with established procedures when the team requires additional resources.
● Ensure that orders are accurate, properly packaged, and labeled for shipment.
● Collaborate with other team members to meet order processing deadlines.
● Utilize warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move and load products.
● Organize and maintain the warehouse space to optimize storage capacity and accessibility.
● Arrange power tools and related products in designated areas based on space availability and standard procedures.
● Ensure that the warehouse is clean, safe, and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
● Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed.
● Coordinate with other departments, such as Sales, Operations, and Customer Service, to ensure smooth workflows, order processing, and timely customer deliveries.
● Work collaboratively with team members to support a positive and efficient work environment.
● Develop a solid understanding of the power tools and accessories sold by Atlas.
● Stay updated on product features, specifications, and usage instructions.
● Assist customers or colleagues when required.
● Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
● Properly handle machinery and related equipment to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
● Report any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel or our JHSC Team.
● Collaborate with your team lead or Manager to report and address any issues.
Qualifications and Skills
● Champion of our Atlas Core Values; a strong team contributor.
● Quick learner and adaptable.
● Variety of standing and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting of the
torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves.
● Regular lifting of 20 lbs or more; must be able to lift up to 70 lbs or heavier.
● Occasional climbing of ladders.
● May require the ability to operate material-handling equipment, including pump
trucks.
● Manual dexterity (quick with the hands).
● Constant communication with coworkers, Team Leads, and Warehouse Senior
Team leads.
● Efficient time management skills.
● Excellent Microsoft Excel/Office skills.
