About

Our Underwriting Managers customize solutions for our commercial clients as well as lead and develop a team of underwriters.  They work closely with our extensive broker network to develop unique solutions for all classes of risk.

They are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our brokers – this means emails and phone calls don't go unanswered, and in-person broker meetings are regularly penned into their calendars.  They also pay attention to the smallest of details, work closely with our Actuarial and Claims Departments, and they could probably help hostages with their elite negotiation skills.

With employee development being at the forefront of what they do, they work hard to provide constant training and coaching to set their Underwriters up for success. Being a strategic thinker, they are also able to identify areas of opportunity within the market, while planning and initiating the underwriting strategy for the department.

In other words, they're awesome.  If you are too, consider joining us to manage our Mid-Market Health, Education, and Social Services team

  • Coaching & Mentoring

  • Sales & Negotiation

You have:

  • 10+ years of Underwriting experience

  • Experience leading or mentoring a team

  • Completed, or pursuing your CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designations

The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We're also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn't quite match your expectations, don't let that hold you back — we'd still love to hear from you.

We also want to be transparent about our hiring process. While one of our systems includes AI capabilities, over 99% of our screening is done by real people. We believe in thoughtful, human-centered hiring decisions, and are committed to giving every application the attention it deserves.
